We are now seven months into 2020, and the “temporary” disruptions we expected in March have fundamentally rewritten the rules of business. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues its unpredictable path, leaders are finding that yesterday’s playbooks are obsolete.
As of today, the numbers are staggering. The global tally has climbed to 6,291,635 infections and 374,357 deaths. While every industry is reeling from the economic fallout, the healthcare sector is standing at the epicenter of a storm it wasn’t fully prepared to weather.
As of today, April 1st, 2020, the world looks vastly different than it did just a few months ago. The Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has now reached over 192 countries, with 858,832 confirmed cases and 42,158 lives lost. Since the initial outbreak in Wuhan back in December, the global scientific community has been in a dead heat to understand this virus.
